Preach brother! I used to do a lot of powerlifting before enlisting in the Marine corps and had to lose a bunch of weight before I could. So I dropped from 265 to 200. Sadly I lost most of my strength with it. Not all but a lot my squat and deadlift were both well over 600 and now pulling 375 is difficult. I've maintained strength better than I expected but there's definitely a difference in how often I seem to feel joint pain, muscle soreness or my bones just feel under uncomfortable pressure. Gonna apply more of this training style. Комментарий от : The Knuckle Dragger |
Great info and learn something from every video. Ive seen that your gym offers online 1:1 training but do you offer any 1:1 training at your gym with trainers? Комментарий от : AJW 1054 |
This is real "functional" fitness, love it. Thank you Coach Комментарий от : heraldofthegospel |

When all this COVID crap is over you need to meet with Trump and explain this to him. Make our military stronger and more effective fighters. Комментарий от : KNIGHT BLACK RIFLE |

Matt I can't believe that you give us such a high quality info for free! Being a student atm I am broke, but since serving the army in Greece is mandatory your manual is a must imo! So I will grab it the moment I have the money! Thank you for everything, and i really appreciate the work you do with the kids especially Trey! God bless you! If you go into a fire and try to rescue/carry somebody alone, you are doing it wrong. That's never gonna work out. It's movie bullshit that nobody actually does. Obviously strength is important, but keep it real. Комментарий от : ZuFFuLuZ |
STRENGTH IS KING!!! Always awesome...thanks Matt! Комментарий от : Socratic Warrior |
Great video. I am a State Trooper and all we did in the academy was run everywhere and CrossFit like workouts. We had one day a week where we "weight trained" but we took that as a free day and nobody really used it for strength training. When I graduated I was around 170 pounds (lost about 15-20 pounds) and lost strength because I entered the academy with a weightlifting background. Well, when I started to go out on patrol wearing our duty belt (around 20-25 pounds depending on how much equipment you have), ballistic vest, etc, I felt weaker and started to experience back aches. I went the route of powerlifting (powerlifting about 5 years now) and even though I am about 250 pounds I feel stronger, "lighter", and my back doesn't hurt at all from wearing my duty belt. I wish police departments would stop emphasizing being "fit" to "cardio" or crossfit. When I tell people I powerlift/dabble in strongman stuff the first response is "well how fast can you run a mile?" To which I respond "I'm slow af but I can Squat around 450, DL 525 (just hit that PR before this quarantine mess) , and bench close to 350 (I know, not elite but i worked my ass off for those)." Instead of being like wow you are healthy or fit or whatever, everyone says "well you dont do cardio" TLDR: Awesome video and very accurate Комментарий от : Jahjitsu |
Sadly most of the training in military is endurance training . Most marines go to the gym and lift heavy when they aren’t working though . It’s not structured into the training though . Комментарий от : Matt C |
Very smart sir! Thanks for the info. Very useful! Stop letting Mike Ohearn use your to train his followers! He acted like he was teaching you something! And he was your equal! Not even close!💪💪 Комментарий от : Andy Hagan |
